PureWorks Patent Issues!

On March 20, 2007, PureWorks' first patent was issued by the US Patent and Trademark Office. The patent grants a number of claims that protect PureWorks products and clearly validate the unique nature of our products. The patent claims describe PureWorks formulations as "A germicidal composition with enhanced microbiocidal activities" for disrupting and subsequently destroying microbiological organisms. The patent also protects the use of PureWorks as a first aid antiseptic.

Included in the patent are method claims for using PureWorks products on surfaces ranging from epithelial tissues to inanimate surfaces. Protected product forms include spray, foam, lotion, creams, and handwashes.

No one is more pleased than Dr. Edward Walker, the inventor of PureWorks products. "This patent validates what we have been telling our distributors and customers all along. That is, PureWorks products are unique and different from all other products. The issuance of this patent establishes the novelty of our products. No one else has made them before, and this patent prevents others from copying our technology." Dr. Walker also said that he was extremely happy that our patent issued. "After years of work in the laboratory and communications with the US Patent Office, it is extremely rewarding to have them recognize my work." He indicates that this is just the beginning and more patents will be coming in the future. "This new patent should give the entire PureWorks family reason to celebrate!"

Congratulations, PureWorks!
